Mark your calendars! This year the ABC conference will be Oct. 6th, 2007. It will be held again at the Continuing Education Building on the East Bank of the U of Mn.
We are so excited to have Dr. Susan Friedman return. She will be leading us through a hands on Funtional Analysis (F/A) workshop. We will split up in mini groups and learn to solve a behavior problem with the use of F/A. It will be a very valuable experience.
Dr. Orosz, a board certified Avian Vet. from Ohio, will address the link between feather destructive behavior and brain neural-transmitters.
Chris Shank, from Cockatoo Downs, will share her experiences with free-flying parrots. She has over twenty parrots, mostly Cockatoos, that fly free each day and then come home for dinner. Chris will give instruction on how to train your parrots to respond to re-call and other skills needed for free-flying.
